December is often a month of reflection in the accounting and financial services world. Numbers are reviewed, projections are made. We recently took some time to reflect on a few other things as we look back at 2020 and 2021.
While a pandemic might not have been the ideal time to transition a firm to new owners Kevin and I were ready to take the reins of Cochran Bell from my father, Danny Cochran. He was ready to work in a scaled back capacity.
The transition not only has been smooth, but the practice has grown in both the tax and financial services. This has been a tremendous show of confidence by current and new clients. Here are a few thoughts regarding the transition to date.
We have been really proud of our ability to help multiple small businesses and startups work their way through this pandemic and the PPP program. The pandemic has been exceedingly difficult and challenging for businesses and their owners.
We have been able to provide secure contactless solutions, when wanted, through two tax seasons and never closed our office. We got innovative with technology to provide education and additional resources. We will continue to find ways to add value in the changing landscape the pandemic has created.
In a review of our clients we found we provide tax, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, QuickBooks set up, and comprehensive financial planning from the ages of 19 to 97, what a variety! We truly have the opportunity help those just starting adult life to those living their senior years feel more confident regarding their financial life.
All the best to you and yours as this year ends.
